Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley who has always vociferously campaigned for the rights of the gay community has yet again proved her commitment. This pretty actress did the honour of re-launching India's first registered Gay magazine called 'Bombay Dost' at Oxford Bookstore, Churchgate. The host of the evening, Vivek Raj Anand, CEO of Humsafar Trust spoke about how it was an overwhelming moment for the entire community as the defunct magazine was being re-launched in a bigger and bolder avatar after 7 long years. Celina Re-launches Bombay Dost Magazine

The actress will relaunch the defunct Bombay Dost India's first gay magazine Celina Jaitly is carrying forward her association and support for gay rights by relaunching India's first registered gay magazine Bombay Dost. Announcing the re-launch of Indias first LGBT mag Bombay Dost at the hands of actress and activist Celina Jaitleyat Oxford Bookstore, Mumbai Miss Celina Jaitley will release the new issue of Bombay Dost, on 16th April 2009 at 5.30 p.m, at the Oxford Bookstore, Churchgate, Mumbai. Bombay Dost, Indias first registered gay magazine, was launched in 1990. In its earlier avatar, it connected gay people across the country, taking away the sense of isolation and disempowerment they felt, giving them hope of being able to live a full life, without stigma and discrimination. Actor Celina Jaitley woos voters
After Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, another tinsel town star Celina Jaitley on Wednesday hit the campaign trail for Lok Sabha elections. She campaigned for Congress hopeful Vibhakar Shastri, grandson of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, who is contesting the Lok Sabha election from Fatehpur seat.
